Reason #1: Subban played the hit by the book and no Devils came after him. We have seen teams rough up the player that threw a legal hit way too many times. Last time I checked, it's part of the game.
Reason #2: At the end of the clip, the injured Larsson shows Subban some respect with a glove tap. I've never seen that in an NHL game before.
We've heard NHL management and teams speak on accountability and respect amongst the players a million times. Believe it or not, most players aren't trying to injure their opponents. They are trying to take them out of the play. In my opinion, the Subban/Larsson hit is the first step in the right direction in both execution and end result.
P.S.: Message to the Montreal Canadiens - don't trade Subban. That would be a terrible mistake. Unless it's to the Senators! ;)
