Celebrate The Life and Legacy of J Dilla

Today, February 10th, marks the 6th anniversary of the death of one of the hip hop game's most celebrated producers, Mr James "Jay Dee aka J Dilla" Yancey.

Although we lost him at much too young of an age, J Dilla's life, legacy and influence continues to grower stronger.

Producers and MCs such as Pete Rock, Common, Q-Tip, Questlove, Houseshoes, Bilal, and Pharrell Williams, and so many others have all expressed their sincere appreciation and respect for J Dilla's work.

One of the most interesting events I've heard about that celebrates Dilla will take place today in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

"Dilla Day Detroit" will go down at The Fillmore, and will feature special guests such Busta Rhymes, Jay Electronica, Danny Brown, Phife Dawg, and many, many more

So do yourself a favour today.....throw on some Dilla tracks and celebrate!

Or better yet, share some of his music with someone who's unfamiliar with his incredible work.
