The League Brings Its Game to FX Canada

image via fxcanada.ca
FX Canada launched on October 31st, bringing with it programming previously unavailable in this country.  Shows on the network include the critically acclaimed Sons of Anarchy, and the scary as hell American Horror Story (I keep telling my wife to stop watching it - she hasn't slept in weeks because of it!)

But the FX show that's really got me open right now is The League.

Based in Chicago, The League follows a group of old friends who share one strange common goal - to be the champion of their Fantasy Football league.  And despite the show's premise, you don't have to be a fantasy sports enthusiast to enjoy it.

The show is created by husband & wife executive producers Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer.

I've only seen a few episodes of the third season which is currently airing, but I plan on renting the first two seasons and doing a marathon.

Fans of past sports-related series such as Arli$$ and Sports Night should definitely add The League to their must-see TV viewing schedule.  It airs Thursdays at 10:30 PM EST.
