My Recommended Twist For The 2012 NHL All-Star Game In Ottawa

The NHL All-Star Player Fantasy Draft is taking place in Gatineau (which is just north of Ottawa for those who are geographically curious) at Casino du Lac-Leamy on January 26th. This Capital City All-Star Draft will follow the same format as last year: 2 captains, along with their alternates, will pick from the pool of 30 players on the draft floor. Your captains will be Daniel Alfredsson from the Ottawa Senators and Zdeno Chara from the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins (expect to hear boos for the big man from the still bitter Sens faithful in attendance).

The twist isn't my allegiance to Team Alfie. That's a no brainer. Flashback to the 2011 All-Star Draft where Phil Kessel was picked last. I thought it was hilarious due to my relationship with the Leafs (hint: I despise them). Kessel did win some nice prizes for being last, but the moment we all remembered was Ovi laughing hysterically at the Leafer while he took pictures with his smartphone.

So the twist? I would love both captains to band together and give Ovechkin a taste of his own medicine. I want Ovechkin to be picked last and have everyone who was selected by either Alfie or Chara to laugh and point at him while they take pictures. How awesome would that be?
