2011 Season Series:

Washington won 4-2

What's the story?:

Tampa has showed the world that they are ready to be players again. The reasons?
St. Louis, Stamkos, Lecavalier, Downie and Roloson to name a few. But the real game changer is rookie coach Guy Boucher. He is know for the 1-3-1, but what really impresses is his mastery of psychological warfare. A cunning strategist, Boucher is using his eloquent mind games to get the upper hand by deflecting pressure onto the opposing team. In this round, Boudreau is his target and he's making him look like an extra from Quest for Fire. For a first appearance in the NHL playoffs, he's turning some heads. Ageless wonder Roloson is killing the circuit with a save percentage over .940. He has been a huge factor since his acquisition from the Islanders.

Besides craving ice cream, Boudreau is in the process of turning the offensive Caps into a defensive force. They had success in the first round and are looking for that to continue. Ovi has found his touch again, but more importantly Semin has been activated to sniper from Russian sleeper covert forward. His winner in overtime in game 1 was the catalyst for his awakening. The addition of Jason Arnott has been a huge plus for the club since he brings tons of experience and invaluable leadership in the locker room.

Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before you pick a winner:

Can Roloson continue playing like he's in his late 20s? Will Semin be an offensive force or will he get back to his floating ways? Does Boucher represent the evolution of coaching?

Key Playas and Pretendas to watch:

Lightning Playas: Stamkos, St. Louis, Lecavalier, Roloson, Hedman
Lightning Pretendas: Bergeron, Clark

Caps Playas: Backstrom, Arnott, Ovechkin, Semin
Caps Pretendas: Sturm, Knuble, Alzner

P&B Prediction:

Ovi wants to make it to the Big Dance and will carry this team to its first Conference Final since '98. Caps win in 6.
