Am I biased? You best believe it. They could release an album of photocopier sounds layered over newborns crying and I would love it. I've seen them live a few times and that allowed me to get what they're giving: a trip into a musical fantasy land guided by talented and break the mold musicians.
It's a short album or EP with only 8 tracks. I heard through the netvine that they will release another album shortly so we can consider this an appetizer until another album comes out. They don't believe in the industry standard so they might release three 8 tracks albums this year for all we know. They changed the game in the past, and will do it again.
Radiohead can't save Rock because they don't give a shit about that.

It looks like the director told him:
ReplyDelete"ok now, Thom, I want to see you, in this space {pointing around}, do an interpretive dance of the song that's a cross between Bjork and the bloke in that Fatboy Slim video ... and OH!! most of all Thom ol'boy, have a laugh will ya mate? yeah??"
:)
That's it. Period.
Anyone making any overly philosophical or inanely in-depth analysis of the video is missing the point... that yes, sometimes serious and dark Radiohead (as seen in "Meeting People is Easy") CAN actually have fun and a bit of a laugh
