Lead screamer Pettit claimed that the break-up was "not amicable" in an official message. Pray tell, whatever could that mean? It means that Dallas Green didn't want to do it anymore. And the rest of the band fought to keep AOF alive. Mr. Green is finding success with his side (now main) project City and Colour and explained to Spinner that playing in both bands was "killing him". The stress of being involved in 2 projects was too much for Green, as he claims nervous breakdowns and crying on numerous occasions (Emo Cred +10, Rock Star cred -1,000). Don't know if you ever worked 2 jobs, but it's tough. Green is, by the looks of it, a terrible multitasker, but can take a bullet for the team.
He said that he was fine with "being the villain" as many a AOFer need a sacrificial lamb to direct their hate. I don't blame Dallas at all. I would like to put the blame directly on AOF's Yoko Ono, Leah Miller. I'm positive she was a major reason why he picked City and Colour over the rockin' outfit.

AOF had a great run, providing us with some high-octane tracks and entertaining music videos. All things come to an end, and they had a good go at it.
Almost forgot...dude that was the second guitarist/third vocalist joined a UK punk band. No rest for the under appreciated, almost invisible, musician in the background!
