Vedder Keeps It Real...Ukulele Style

(Photo via musicvice.com)
In case you didn't know, Eddie Vedder released his second solo album a little over a month ago. Without knowing anything about it, I saw the title, thought it was original and didn't think much of it. To my surprise, the album showcases the ukulele as it's main vehicle.

The album runs about 35 minutes containing 16 tracks of ukulele goodness (never thought I would say that). It features mostly originals with a few cover songs. The first cut, "Can't Keep", really captivated me and warranted a complete audition of the album. What you're getting with "Ukulele Songs" is Vedder stripped to his bare bones, reminding you that he is a fantastic vocalist.

This is a must for all Pearl Jam fans and anyone who needs a break from all the over-produced noise out there. Check it out and drop your thoughts in the comments.
