Robert Nesta "Bob" Marley.  Musical Legend, National Hero, Cultural Icon.  Thirty years ago today, on May 11, 1981, the world lost the reggae superstar to a battle with melanoma.

He was 36 years old.

Bob Marley meant so much to so many, and touched lives not only with his music, but with his endless efforts to unite people through his message of "One Love."

From his humble beginnings growing up in the Trenchtown section of Kingston, Jamaica, to his meteoric rise to international superstardom as frontman of The Wailers, Marley is regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th Century.

His musical and spiritual legacy live on.
