In Which The NHL Hates Itself And Will Lose Its Momentum

If this guy can't handle the lockout, there's no hope for the rest of us (photo via toromagazine.com)
As the clock strikes 12 am on September 16th, 2012, please welcome the latest edition of the NHL lockout. You might want to hurl your verbal stones at the ever lovable Bettman and his team of owners. Or those unfortunate players that make money playing a game. It doesn't matter how you shake it, they want their money and their "fair share". And the fans? NHLPA Beard-a-thon: Growing Your Hair Because You Care

image via smr.newswire.ca
Growing a beard during the Stanley Cup Playoffs is a longstanding tradition for both players and fans alike.

This year, you can join in the tradition with some of your favourite players by supporting the NHLPA Beard-a-thon, with proceeds supporting the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

If you're an NHL hockey fan, or simply down with charitable causes (or both), check out the NHLPA Beardathon website  for more information on how you can get behind this great fundraising initiative.

NHLPA members Scott Hartnell, Claude Giroux, Jamal Mayers, Brooks Laich, Brian Elliott, Shea Weber, and Logan Couture are just some of the many players involved.

I'll be dropping my razor and supporting the cause as well.

Check P&B on the regular over the next few weeks .... I'll be posting update pics as my beard progresses.

Watch The Throne Beard!

I guess the NHL players read my post about the NHL Board of Governors' proposed realignment. The NHLPA thankfully rejected the proposal for several reasons, citing team travel and lack of involvement in the development of the new format as the main reasons. Here's the NHL's statement following the "bad news".

It's Not Broken...So Let's Fix It: NHL's Board of Governors Overhauls Conference Configuration, Eliminates Divisions

(Photo via thehockeynews.com)
What the fuck? What the mother fuckin' fuck, god damnit! (My apologies to all of our young readers) That was my reaction regarding the NHL's Board of Governors approving the new realignment for the 2012-13 season. Here's what it might look like:
