Black Keys Announce Plans for Blakroc 2 Release

Having already completed their seventh album and follow-up to 2010's Brothers, which will be released later this year, the Black Keys have announced that another Blakroc project is forthcoming, entitled Blakroc 2.

Details on an actual release date have not been announced.

Damon Dash is once again overseeing the project, and the list of reported guest MCs includes Talib Kweli, U-God, Jim Jones, Jay Electronica, Curren$y, Sean Price, The Cool Kids, OC, and Wiz Khalifa.

  1. YESSSSSSS!!!! So wicked!! That teaser is the biz! I hear Hendrix and I see a lot of smoke, this is going to be mega... glad to see Jim Jones back on the roster he killed it on BR1...!! I'm losing it over here, I can't wait..... Webisodes PLEASE!!! Ram.

    p.s. they gotta tour as Blackroc, when this is wrapped. please please please.

  2. Yes Ram, I think at the very least the webisodes will be available soon, along with a full-length album. Jim Jones will be hard-pressed to match the "verse of his life" that he spat on the last album! I'm also anxious to hear Talib Kweli's track. it's a very interesting mix of MCs this time around.

    As far as an actual Blakroc tour, might be wishful thinking, but you never know!
