Mayer Hawthorne Releases Mini-Doc For "Where Does The Door Go"

After a 7 month wait, Mayer Hawthorne has finally uploaded the behind the scenes YouTube video for his beyond underrated album "Where Does The Door Go". The mini-doc, called "Behind The Door", can be seen after the jump.

The video runs a little over 16 minutes and features all of the producers and musicians that helped develop the sound for "Door". The opening scene shows Mayer struck with sudden inspiration in the form of beatboxing, which then becomes a full beat and sounds like the draft for "The Innocent". He then explains how he changed his whole creative process with this latest project and then the awesomeness ensues. You can expect appearances from Pharrell Williams, Jack Splash, and Warren "Oak" Felder to name a few.

My advice: take the time to check out this inspiring, introspective look into Hawthorne's world. You will come back and tell me that it was too short.
