P&B Take Halifax: Hide Your Women Children Lobsters Edition
We're hitting up the East Coast this weekend as part of our epic "Truth Bombin'" World Tour. The tour starts in Halifax and will end...in Halifax. Ok, it's a one city stop and what a fantastic city she is!
For all of you puckheads in the area, pro hockey is coming back to the east coast. The AHL announced that the Winnipeg Jets' affiliate will be in St. John's and will be called the Ice Caps. The Newfoundland and Labrador team will hit the ice in time for the 2011-2012 season. What's the logo you ask? Here it is:
In more liver abusive news, we'll be hitting the town tonight so if any of you P&B-niacs want an autograph (!) or want to buy us a pint, we'd be more than happy to talk to you about music, sports or culture. Follow us on twitter, @paqmanandbull, for details.
Cheers to Turnbull and soon to be Mrs Turnbull!

Amy Winehouse 1983-2011

Add the name Amy Winehouse to the list of talented, yet-troubled performers to pass away well before their time. Despite her potential, she simply could not gain control over her demons.
The cause of her death at this time is unexplained.
Winehouse was 27 years old.
Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain's ages at the time of their deaths = 27

Vedder Keeps It Real...Ukulele Style
![]() |

The album runs about 35 minutes containing 16 tracks of ukulele goodness (never thought I would say that). It features mostly originals with a few cover songs. The first cut, "Can't Keep", really captivated me and warranted a complete audition of the album. What you're getting with "Ukulele Songs" is Vedder stripped to his bare bones, reminding you that he is a fantastic vocalist.
This is a must for all Pearl Jam fans and anyone who needs a break from all the over-produced noise out there. Check it out and drop your thoughts in the comments.

Friday Flashback On The July 1st Tip - Happy Canada Day Edition
Rascalz featuring Kardinal Offishall, Choclair, CheckMate and Thrust - "Northern Touch"
In honour of Canada Day, we're hitting you with a Northern Touch. This Little X-directed video was released in '98 featuring a lineup of up and coming players in the Canadian hip hop game. Jully Black and K-OS were slated to be on the cut, but couldn't make it do to prior commitments. This is also the first appearance of reknown video vixen Melyssa Ford (she can be seen sitting on Choclair's lap).
The song features a sample from B.T. Express from a song called "Everything Good To You" which can be checked out here.
Enjoy Canada Day and your long weekend!
